Ambulance Shield Presentation, 1928
On 27th April 1928, the Swindon Ambulance Team received the Directors Challenge Shield from Viscount Churchill, Chairman of the Great Western Railway. The shield was awarded after winning the final of a series of ambulance competitions. The Swindon team competed against other GWR teams from Newport, Birmingham, Taunton and Chester. They then went on to compete at the inter-railway ambulance competition coming fifth, while the team from London and North Eastern Railway took first place

10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch. Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.
Ready to Hang Contemporary Framed and Mounted Prints. To ensure the paper is held securely the visible picture may be marginally smaller than quoted.
