Golant Halt, Fowey Branch Line, Cornwall
Golant Halt, on the Fowey to Lostwithiel line, was a single platform station which stood alongside a stretch of water known as Golant Pill. The proximity of the line to the water is clear to see in this image which shows passengers waiting for an approaching train. The station provided a vital link for residents of Golant in an area with limited road access, opening the village up to both tourism and employment opportunities
