Ashton Station, Devon, c. 1920
A view of Ashton Station, on the Teign Valley line, Devon, c.1920.
Ashton station opened in 1882 and closed to passengers in June 1958. It was the only station on the line to have its own engine shed, but this became disused in the early 20th century (finally being demolished in 1960, one year before the station fully closed in 1961)
