Hirwaun Station, Wales

0-6-0 Pannier Tank locomotive No. 9473 steams into Hirwaun Station on 7th June 1954. The station served a mainly industrial community of nearby collieries, quarries and an ironworks, and although relatively small, Hirwaun was, in its heyday, an important junction station for the Vale of Neath Railway
