Llangollen Station, Wales, 1950

Llangollen station in this image taken in July 1950 has been decorated with bunting for the annual Musical Eisteddfod, which is still held in the town today. Looking west towards Ruabon, the signal box is sited at the end of the platform, whilst the impressive spans of Llangollen Bridge over the River Dee can be seen in the distance
