Maiwand Lion, Reading, July 1928

A GWR Publicity view of the Maiwand Lion in Forbury Gardens in the centre of Reading, Berkshire in July 1928. This lion sculpture is a prominent landmark in the town and is a war memorial to the members of the Royal Berkshire Regiment who died in Afghanistan in 1880
