Bideford, Devon, September 1934
A GWR publicity view of the port town of Bideford in Devon, taken September 1934. This image shows the Old Bideford Long Bridge on the left and the River Torridge running through the town. The bridge was first built c.1280 on the estuary, connecting the two sides of the busy coastal port. Two ships can be seen in this photograph docked at the quay on the far side of the river.
